Borealis is the infamously grumpy Captain of the Night Guard. The tundra is quite literally ice cold, prickly, and generally not fun to be around. Borealis is one of the most large and intimidating tundras most dragons have ever seen. Many subconsciously lower their voices and keep their eyes down around him so as to avoid getting in trouble with this very scary dragon. He just wants to be left alone.

Borealis is a great fighter, as signified by his rank, and despite what one might think, an excellent teacher. While he has been known to grumble about his job and ever increasing list of responsibilities, Borealis is loyal, honest, and completely dedicated to his job. Combined with the fact that Borealis only uses his deadly ice to incapacitate, some suspect that Borealis is like a yeti. He has a heart of gold. Probably. Maybe.
