Thoughts: ▸Hydrangea: Overworks himself, doesn’t take a break nor does he seem to think he deserves one. Too selfless and self-sacraficing.
▸Rawlins: Good guy, a lot of fun to tease him since he often doesn’t get it. A great mentor and someone worthy of respect.
▸Jurek: He’s… more devot than preferable, especially considering the Arcanist ended the world once.

Raised by the Guardsmen, he’s a protector through and through and his loyalty and skill are unquestionable. Despite this, and how friendly he is, Fell is often seen as separate from the civilians of the Kingdom since he never seems to make time to interact with him one on one.
Fell has always been considered one of the better guards, he makes an effort to do his best at his job everyday and to be a welcoming force in the Kingdom, but when the Raider’s attacked and he risked his life to slow the encourching mass it just sealed his place as someone who was more than just worthy of his armor. Separated from the populace, but deeply respected, the Ashen wastes would sooner freeze over than anything bad happen to him.
Thoughts: ▸Layek: Helped save the Kingdom, took charge, has a phenomenal tactical mind, couldn’t ask for a better Guard Captain.
▸Keyal: She’s certainly skilled, no questioning that, but she’s not welcoming or easy to get along with.
▸Kenryn: A little awkward, but an absolute sweet heart. Like family, forgiving as the day is long and a very hard worker.
▸Zulily: An absolute saint of a woman, as imposing as she may be she is extremely kind-hearted and good. Thoughts: ▸Ramsay: He’s always been a little big for his britches but being made Royal guard has greatly exasperated that issue.
▸Kinning: Young, eager to please and eager to help, he shines bright.
▸Atney: Good guy, great helper, stands up for his fellow guard and doesn’t let others walk all over them.
▸The King: He seems like a different person than he was before and it certainly feels like a bad thing.

Biography
There isn’t much to say about Fell’s parents, he contracted the gembound illness early in his life and in the land of survival, ice, they didn’t think it was worth keeping him if he was only going to die later. So, like many unwanted ice children, Fell was thrown to the mercy of the freezing oceans. But, unbeknownst to his parents, he survived the awful encounter… just barely. He washed up in the land of Shadows, hacking and crying for help. The shadows watched him then… and waited. He got lucky, really, very, lucky and was found by a menacing figure. A tall, heavily armored, woman with brightly colored skin, who pushed aside the seaweed still clinging to his salt-soaked skin and kneeled in front of him. He had been afraid of her then, her armor made her look like a frightening and twisted being, especially to the blurry eyes of a half-drowned child. Zulily offered her hand to him then, patient and slow. ‘You fell?’ she had asked. ‘I’m fell?’ he had parroted back confused, sobbing, in shock. ‘You are fell?’ It was a silly encounter, really, a misunderstanding, but when he just stared at her with blank eyes the woman decided to save any further questioning for later. Slowly, she got to her feet and offered him her hand once more. “Come with me, Fell, I’ll take you someplace safe.” What else could he do? Say no in this strange land? He took her hand, unknowing then that she would replace the mother who had no longer wanted him.
Zulily was already a member of the Guard, leading to Fell being raised in the Guard’s barreks and trained in fighting the second he showed any interest in the opportunity. He was mentored, helped, by the entire guard rotation, making them all feel like close family to him. Fell was a teen when Zulily met a man named Javert. Their relationship was shortlived, a flash in the pan of life, but it was long enough for Zulily to have a son from it. Kenryn, he had been so small back then it had seemed crazy, and though he shared no blood with the boy Fell made it his mission to protect him and to be a good role model for him. So, his years as a guard-in-training continued, the imperial continuing to try his hardest and to practice persistently. He had been out, on one of his chores for the barracks, when he met a strange new elf in pretty armor. He wasn’t from around here, certainly, Fell would recognize him since it was impossible to not notice the bright flower tattoos creeping up his neck. Seeing the way the man held himself, Fell quickly identified him as a Knight and introduced himself, quick to bombard the respected sword with questions about Knighthood and how and the why. The man listened to him speak, politely, before simply saying that Knights were people of principle and that he had wanted to be someone like that. Fell understood this sentiment, he too wanted to be someone of good moral, of helpful soul, so he asked the Knight what mission he was on to be so far from home. The knight winced then, before explaining he was not landed, that he was a hedge knight. He said it like it was a bad thing, but any Knight was cool! Fell thought on this for a second before insisting that the man needed to speak with the King, that he would surely appoint him. The elf seemed… hesitant, but Fell continued to press until the newcomer gave in and agreed to try it. Fell had been right, of course, how else would they have the great Ser Hydrangea if not for his young pestering?
Becoming a guard was a dream come true, he had worked hard for this and he was the pride of the entire squad. They had all had a hand in raising him, in training him, after all. An adult now, Fell found himself often in placements with the same man he had convinced to stay in the Blue Kingdom, he was quick to try to strike up conversation, to make a connection, but the Knight seemed hesitant to truly engage with him. It took several months of this, Fell pestering him much like he had as a child, before Hydrangea seemed to not have the energy to rebuff the offered friendship. A good thing, really, since the two became best friends and something like brothers. When Hydrangea was promoted to being a Royal Guard, Fell was promoted to being the Gate guard… and he really couldn’t be more pleased with his new posting.
Personality
Stubborn is what most people would call Fell, while he is very good natured and good-humored, he is also hard-headed and is unlikely to change his mind once he’s had it made up. Few things dissuade this man very easily, if he’s pressing for something he likes to believe he has good reason afterall, and this can cause him to be very grating to some people. Even if his intentions are good, that doesn’t mean he should just get to do as he pleases.
Most people wouldn’t consider him wise, but he has a lot of seemingly useless information at his disposal and he’s more aware of what’s happening in the Kingdom walls than most others are. As naive, or blind, as he may come across, Fell is very aware of what type of people he meets at the gates everyday. Just because he’s nice doesn’t mean he doesn’t know a the eyes of a criminal when he sees them.
Personality
Calm, patient, aloof, he doesn’t get upset by things easily and he’s the type to plan things far in advance. If one asked him what it was he was planning, he’d probably be able to give you an itemized list of his schedule for the next few weeks. ‘It helps me make the most of my time, removes the guessing game’ he would say if questioned about it. He doesn’t mind waiting, or working hard, for the things he wants out of life.
As good, and sweet, as Fell is he certainly has something of an entitled streak. He doesn’t give up on things, he doesn’t change his mind, and he has no trouble playing the long game in order to get the outcome he is looking for. Of course, that’s not as cool when we are talking about people. He doesn’t seem to understand the concept that some people, no matter how hard you try or how nice you may be, don’t want to be friends with you and instead of taking the rejection and moving on… Fell will often continue to press. He can’t accept that someone just genuinely doesn’t like him for no reason.
