"Every Guardian, little or large, has the great honor of participating in the Search. And we go on the Search?"
"To find our Charge!" shouted a small group of tumbling Guardians, more or less in sync.
"To find our Charge..." Crysis mumbled inaudibly.
"Now, today's Search-preparation exercises will be swimming and running!"
"Oh, great," he grumbled as he stretched out his fins to catch the last soft sun he'd be likely to enjoy for the rest of the day...

Crysis is his lair's undisputed leader. He prides himself on knowing each of his clan's members, and spends almost all of his time visiting the members. His clanmates say he has a subtle, almost unnerving ability to bring a clan full of odd and dissimilar dragons together. When asked about it, he wil deny it. However, his best friend Opra has in fact caught him practicing conflict resolution in some abandoned Ridgeback tunnels.

Crysis' life is centered around the physical protection of his clan, and well as its internal maintenance. Most of his first nest of hatchlings were exalted, making his one remaining son Niklaus especially important to him. Time not spent attending to his clan's needs is spent with Niklaus, or with Niklaus' mother, Opra.

Crysis did try a stint in the Coliseum, but decided he much preferred the (admittedly minor) benefits of walking around the clan during his daily visits. He came very close to admitting a truth he holds very close--that, even as a Guardian, he would much rather sit around than exercise (much less journey!). He counts himself very glad that his Search led him to very close Charge.

Crysis is a permanent member of the Clan Clutter Council.
He and Opra are currently attempting to find a permanent Newly Arrived Dragon Ambassador.
