Young and determined, Chromakey has the drive and ambition to become the clan's Trainer, encouraging dragons to reach their peak physical condition and improve their combat potential to the best of their abilities. He attained this position through persistence, more than anything. It was what he desperately wanted to do, more than anything, from the time he was a tiny hatchling. He wanted to become strong himself, and to make other dragons stronger.

With Orkeck's command that every dragon in the clan be trained for combat, it stands to reason that someone should train them. Of course, in the past, this task was usually carried out by Pharius, or on occasion, Orkeck himself. There are those in the clan who feel that the position would have been better for someone like Kirin, but Tiffany insisted that Kirin was better suited to leading bug-catching expeditions. Ultimately, Sunrunner and Orkeck allowed Chromakey to claim the position as trainer, primarily because he showed a great deal of determination and tenacity.

While he is still young, he certainly does seem to have a knack for motivating others. While he isn't the strongest dragon in the clan, nor the most skilled warrior, he has a way of seeing the potential in even the smallest, weakest members of the clan. Even those who prefer more subdued activities to their combat training have to admit, Chromakey is, if nothing else, an enthusiastic Trainer. Still, there are those who believe he isn't fit for the job. Chromakey has nothing but vitriol for these naysayers, and only hopes that someday, he'll be universally appreciated for his skills.
