Biography

Aquean
the zealot

Aquean is, perhaps, the closest to a distrusted member the Clan shall have.

Even so, he does not leave, nor has he been forcefully made to. Discussions about why exactly this is are still ongoing, but the general consensus is that nobody can make sense of his actions, and therefore no one really knows what he actually did do wrong.

The fact, though, that those blood-red eyes, nearly always obscured by some sort of skull mask, are hiding something — that is obvious to any onlooker. Aquean is considered to be a cultist of sorts, though what kind of cult anyone’s guess, like nearly everything regarding him.

What is known, however, is that the time he spends researching along with the rest of the Glass Order is nearly exclusively dedicated to ancient rituals and sigils of power and unknown but likely bloody things. That he is unusually excited to be assigned to hunting or scavenging duty and will work extra hard, even if it means he will keep some of his spoils to himself. That he has an unusual tendency for disappearing in the middle of the night, usually found wading in water with some kind of sharp object in one hand.

But what he’s actually doing? No one really wants to say for sure.

Rumor has it, however, that a strange run-in with a fellow Glass Order member has had unusual effects on her. That being said, any kind of communication with Aquean is generally assumed to lead to unusual effects: mild-to-severe frustration being one of the milder and most common ones, strange ramblings of strange creatures being one of the rarer but still documented side-effects.

Well, is it really like that? Once again — no one really knows, not even Aquean.

m7ZTYcw.png Dainsleif's Pearl
Swirling with dark energies, this pearl occasionally moves in unusual directions. The memory contained within is as follows:

"I was born for one task only: to oversee His birth. So were you, and so was everyone else. It is the sole truth that defines our lives. What happens after shall be decided only by Him — the Last God.

The 'deities', as others call them, are merely pretenders. They are nothing compared to His glory! We must overthrow them; it is an act of heresy to defer to these beings. Stand with me, and we shall do whatever is needed to bring about His birth — the birth of a new god! We shall create divinity itself, and we shall be the first to be granted His judgement!

Follow me, and you shall see it happen yourself: our hands may shape His form, and our actions may bring about the creation of a new era. One ruled over by Him alone!"

12178682p.png "Robin was my sole mistake. Her sacrifice was to bring about His birth, but the Last God was denied his offering and she fled. Curse this traitor! She refuses to accept her fate — He shall have his wishes granted yet!"

Last God's Blessings

Aquean's dedication to his chosen god, and his self-proclaimed destiny of bringing about his creation, manifests itself in many ways. His skill at dark magic is natural, but he is capable of spreading his intense fanaticism to others subtly: merely through his presence, the influence of the Last God spreads. If he is determined enough — or simply eager to present his god with a sacrifice — the influence turns to corruption, as has happened once before.
