Logical | Measured | Uncompromising
Condecerno is not a curious soul. In truth she felt the Starfall Isles of the Arcane to be an illogical choice of place for her to travel and that she would be much more at home amongst her glittering Icefields. Unfortunately, however, she was not well accepted by her in the Southern Icefield, and logically a Lair for the Lost and Searching might offer other avenues for a dragon who was indeed at a loss, such as herself, to pursue.

Initially she was perplexed by the collection of oddballs who comprised the lair. Some were too loud, some too quiet and all too sentimental by far. She was also perplexed by all the questions - every dragon was full of questions for her, for the world, for each other, and no sooner were they answered than they came up with more. How anyone got anything done in such a mess of confusion and nonsense Condecerno could not quite ascertain, and she did not like it. After only two days, she resolved to leave the lair the next morning. Despite the teahouse it was not her cup of tea at all.

That night, Aude brought Condecerno from her room to Leo's laboratory. She had not yet metany of the researchers, so far having only met the Teahouse crowd. Leo needed an extra set of claws, and with four limbs and a prehensile tail, Aude said, Condecerno would logically be even more helpful. Talking to Leo she found a peace - here was a straightforward and logical creature, even if he was sentimental. What's more, he did not criticize her for her coldness; he even seemed to like her for it. Soon Jemma joined the situation and Condecerno found her quite agreeable too. They worked into the evening, and the next morning Condecerno did not leave.

Over the next weeks, Aude brought the Coatl to each of the clan members one on one, while they were engaged in their work. As she met them and they explained what they did here in plain terms, Condecerno learned that even if it did not make sense to her, each of the dragons had their own logic for why they acted as they did, even if she could not quite understand their reasoning process. What's more, though they did not all understand her cold reasoning, they accepted her nonetheless for the other qualities she did have. No-one was more surprised than Condecerno to find that she felt more at home here in an eclectic Arcane lair than she ever had in the Southern Icefield.

Beautiful but cold, Condecerno is unwavering in her trust in logic. She believes in justice and fairness. She believes that evidence reveals the truth and that justice is crucial for peaceful and constructive living. She believes that logic and reason guide negotiation, and that effective mediation and compromise through logic and without excessive sentiment will settle even the most violent disputes. As such, she serves as the voice of reason in disputes, and acts as the law when it is required. Ravenstag helps to keep squabbles at bay, but he will bring arguing dragons to Condecerno for mediation. If serious infractions occur, a council of clanmembers act as jury while Condecerno acts as judge. She is implicitly trusted with matters of law and fairness because she is impossible to bribe and she has no favourites - Condecerno cares more for logic and order than for life itself.

Condecerno does not like nicknames, calling all dragons by their full names always. Some think of her as emotionless. She's certainly different and she recognises that her ability to feel seems different from that of others, as if the volume control of her emotions had been turned down to minimum. Despite the (VERY INTENSE) efforts of Procellanix she will never have some magical 'emotional breakthrough' and change - this is just who she is, but she has found in this lair that she understands and appreciates the value of emotion more, and has come to care for her clanmembers in her own way. Certainly more in fact, than she has cared for any dragons before.
