“Lets go see the world!”


Dilan knew from the moment he was born that he wanted to explore. Both of his parents were Light dragons, born to a life of truth and knowledge - they would speak fondly of the days they spent before coming to the sea in the libraries and fields of the ruins, trying to learn about the strange and beautiful world around them. He wanted that too, just with a little less of the sitting still. So he left as soon as he was considered full-grown with no particular destination in mind.

“No particular destination” soon became this clan. He asked for shelter following a run-in with a mantarune encountered on his journeys - his impulsiveness was the reason he left home in the first place, but it got him into quite a bit of trouble on the road, where he tended to act before thinking. He was offered a permanent spot by some of the clan’s leaders, who were impressed by the young adventurer’s tenacity and youthful take on all the world had to offer. He trained with their fighters and quickly became an elite member of their ranks while also earning popularity due to the treasures he would bring back after missions.

Here, Dilan was given the freedom to explore just as he had wanted to - but with the added security of a roof over his head and food in his belly. The latter was provided by Esmeralda, who became a fast friend after spilling juice on him while serving a meal for the clan’s returning warriors and explorers. That friendship quickly turned into something more - the Arcane dragon was remarkably resilient and kind for somebody who had had a mother like Esmeralda’s. Their relationship began as tentative but has only become stronger with time.
