Akos
Jeweler

Akos is a markedly typical Imperial: reserved and difficult to relate to. He grew up with a preference for solitude over the games and tricks favored by many of the denizens aboding in the Tangled Wood. This preference turned to resentment at his neighbors’ capriciousness as he grew older. Thus he narrowed his focus solely to the perfection of his craft (jewelry making) with a single-minded intensity.

He became infamous among the craftsdragons of the Tangled Wood for being unsociable even as his pieces grew in popularity.

Nenad, the leader dancer of the Beuridadcles Troupe, approached him about commissioning new costumes. He had heard of Akos’s famed craftsdragonship and wanted only the best for the troupe as they returned to touring after a long break.

And to Nenad’s surprise, Akos agreed to outfit the entire troupe with new jewelry – he had expected resistance to the request, had even prepared a pitch to convince him.

He did not expect the payment that Akos required: when Nenad returned to his headquarters, the white Imperial would go with him.

So Akos moved to Deoradhan-Kunibert as costume designer for the Beuridadcles Troupe. When they went on tour, Akos remained behind: true to his nature, he had no interest in the trials and drama of performance.

Yet gradually he came to know the clan in which he had taken up residence - in particular, the clan’s physician, Miyako.
