volute - adj.,n. - spiral (object or ornament). volutate v.i. roll. volution, n. twist; convolution.
Volute cuts an odd figure, at least outside of the workshop. Forgotten scraps of cloth are wrapped around his tail and horns, and the little glowing gloomwillow creature that follows him around seems to always be trying to get him to get back to work. But he likes to roam the clan's territory often, to get ideas for what to make next.

He handles the largest loom in the workshop, and otherwise is found cutting and sewing fabric, embroidering finished pieces of clothing, or crocheting at high speed while he chatters to his colleagues. He prefers to make decorative items, or even plushies for hatchlings, but is equally skilled at making utilitarian garments and accessories.

Once every few months, Volute accompanies Chilensis on his travels around Sornieth, to see what the Beastclans and other dragon clans are wearing.
