Biography

Names had meanings, names carried the lives of those who bore them, they were the first impression that one left in this world. Hisae's name spoke of the endurance of nature. A tiny branch in a large tree, that would grow and endure, until nothing could bring it down.

Like those truly attuned with the Gladekeeper's domain, flowers and tree branches sprouted on her wings and body, new life growing out of her. Still, she wasn't afraid to take a life, true to the feral side of nature. Kill or be killed. Endure or be left behind. Protect, or your loved ones will die. These were simple truths that ruled the world, and she had learned them soon.

Hisae is descended from a venerable line of guardians blessed by the Glademother herself, and takes pride in her heritage and her flight. Because of the living sprouts and blooms on her body, she cannot fly too fast or too high for very long or they will wither and die. Similarly, she must have adequate light and spend some time each days with her claws dug into the soil.

She was fortunate enough to find her Charge from birth, without need for a Search. She knew it was the little Fae that had come out of nowhere, with the blue eyes that were constantly lost in another dimension. She also knew it was her place to protect him, because if left to himself he would probably walk off a precipice without even noticing it. She wasn't sure what he thought of her, or if he even knew she was his Guardian, but she didn't need that. She would protect him, like her instincts commanded, like she herself wanted, at all costs. She gave life, took life, and most of all protected life.
