Biography
Lyn is a curious dragon, that much is certain. If something interests him he will put all of his mental efforts into researching it, to the point of being almost alienated from the rest of the world. Lyn is often caught staring into space with his hands moving restlessly, lost in his own head; this makes him look even weirder than most faes to those around him, though his clanmates are used to it. He doesn't speak much unless specifically addressed, but he can be quite vocal when his curiosity demands it, or when asked for his take on something. When confronted with a fight-or-flight situation, more often than not he will attempt to find a third option and beat the challenge with pure wit.
Lyn’s egg was found in a seemingly abandoned nest of reeds floating in the Gladeveins. So precariously close to the water was no place for a supercharged, glassy egg, with a flashing baby dragon inside. It was hard to look at for long, but a great topic of conversation, especially regarding its origins. But there was never any question the hatchling would be raised as one of their own, and they all did their best for the little Fae with turquoise eyes that was born just a few days later.
Since birth, it had been very obvious that Lyn would rather spend his time observing rather than playing with the other hatchlings. Still, one of his Guardian nestmates in particular would never leave his side, and was content both to sit quietly with him or follow him around. At such a young age, both of them were unaware of what a Charge truly was, but their bond was undeniable.
And so grew the little Fae, observing the world under the gentle boughs of Nature flight. The clan was an eclectic mix of dragons from different flights and he fit in as well as any of them . As he grew older, he would wander away for days at a time, always accompanied by his faithful Guardian. He often had no destination in mind, just the urge to explore. He (or rather, Hisae, since he couldn’t carry much) would return bearing whatever bits and bobs he (or his Ragamouse) found interesting and share them with Hardison, the clan tinker, who showed him how to break them into components in order to build into something new. This was a process that captivated him, gave him an outlet for his imagination and restless hands.
After hearing the legend of the Dragon Golem of the Workshop, he is determined to see it with his own eyes, thus beginning the journey of a lifetime...
