Biography
Age brought Trillia kindness and wise advice, but it never took away her curiosity and childish playfulness. While she may not jump up and down about something exciting, she won't hold back a grin either. She might not throw parties, but she is absolutely not above pranking. Crazy stunts aren’t her thing, but her curiosity will push her to explore.
Trillia was born into a fairly normal Wind clan. She learned to fly before she could walk, and was traveling long before she could remember the destinations. Her father was the clan leader - she never knew her mother, but it was not a big deal. Her father and sister were all she needed, really - and she was soon taught that she would one day take over the clan.
However, the happy times didn't last. Conflict came, conflict over leadership in her clan. She was not too young to remember the whispering whenever her father was not there, hatchlings that suddenly did not want to play with her. She remembered her father’s serious eyes when he told her that a time may come when she must do what he asked without question. That day came when her sister disappeared. Her father told her to fly without stopping, and not to look back. She hadn’t obeyed immediately, and she remembered all too well watching the slaughter that followed - before she finally turned and ran, flying until her wings could carry her no further. Nowhere was far enough to escape the nightmares, of the slaughter, and the monstrous dragon that rose from it, too many heads to count.
She spent the rest of her days travelling aimlessly with her faithful Clouddancer. She never stayed in one place for long - there was much more of Sornieth to see, she told herself. But she knew she was just running away - not from the Emperor, for she was fairly sure it had died long ago, not from the survivors of her old clan, but from the messiness of clan allegiances, the endless wars for territory, resources, and blood-feud. She mated, but the bonds were ephemeral, and she always left them to tend the eggs (running away was all she could do, wasn't it?). She got older, but never truly grew up, never able to put her childhood horror behind her. So she travelled, and learned, from Flight to Flight, until she met an unlikely pair of young dragons during Greenskeepers Gathering...
