Known best in the clan as the librarian and as the dragon that found Blythe as a hatchling in the Windsingers domain during their youthful wanderings. Realising the small thing was a direct creation of the God, he decided to take them in. Despite being alone, and not very well off, he did his best to raise Blythe and to this day is very proud of what they have become.
They found this clan together and set up a home, Blythe rising quickly to the top with their sheer motivation and drive. Nicholas watched, and tried to seek others in which to share his life with, aside from the various rabbits that the Pearlcatcher now kept. Blythe affectionately calls their father figure the 'mad bunny' to reflect this. First there was Nigel, and the two had a child together which by some miracle was a Nocturne. He was named Blake and was protected fiercely by Blythe, and the two are very close even though Blake has left home to start his own clan. It was soon after this departure of their son that the imperial and pearlcatcher started to clash, as they now had nothing to focus on but each other. They argued often and so separated as partners, but Blythe is still very fond of Nigel and admires him greatly despite his cool indifference which cuts Blythe deeply. There is now another that Nicholas has found love with, who resides in another clan. The pair were very happy for a long time and even promised a lifelong partnership to eachother. Blythe approved of him, as did Blake on his visits - but he betrayed the three in favour of flings with other dragons. Nicholas is determined to work things out, but Blythe is furious and refuses to speak to him wheras Blake remains apathetic. Although the relationship seems to be working out better due to the co parenting of Etienne, Blythe is still cautious. Nicky is very kind and hardworking to those who he deems fit, as well as very fussy and a little too trusting. But he is a survivor and usually keeps to himself, writing, crafting and reading in his spare time and taking care of the clans many books. Blythe and Nicholas have reached many impasses over time, leading to harsh words and long periods of silence but now they are trying to rekindle their relationship, with varying degrees of success. Apologies have been given on some matters but the trust still needs to be rebuilt, which takes time. However, it became apparent that those apologies were false, so Blythe cast them away to save themselves. In their mind, Nicholas would never accept them - and would never see them as anything but their past mistakes. Blythe now sends envoys to the library - determined that no matter what - they will not accept any reattempt to fix their relationship. They are tired of being provided false footholds, when they know it is easier to depend on oneself.
