(Creates apparel and tools for the clan, and for the merchants to sell) "I see the wires pulling while you're breathing You knew you had a reason, It killed you like diseases, I can hear it in your voice while your speaking You can't be treated." -"Wires", by The Neighbourhood ______Victoire is a dragon of nasty disposition - she'd sooner kill another dragon than apologize. That isn't to say, however, that she's prone to such behavior - Victoire typically sticks to scathing insults and unfulfilled (though not empty) threats, preferring to avoid bloodshed (though many dragons suspect this is more to avoid annoying stains than any moral value). Her familiar, an irradiated astronomer, is much more inclined to the art of the "cold shoulder" than Victoire's own viciousness; the familiar helps Victoire with her deliveries, but will not further interact with any other dragon (or their familiars, for that matter). ______The aforementioned deliveries are made up of assorted metal tools, apparel, and other such items, which Victoire forges herself. Her art was her ticket into the Flickering Shadows clan - they'd been without a metalworker of any kind for a while, and, upon seeing her stall at the trading post, Obsidian invited her to the clan. Victoire accepted on the grounds that only a fraction of her stall's proceeds would go to the clan, and her fellow clan members would not receive a discount. In return, the Flickering Shadows clan would house, feed, and protect her - a deal Victoire thought to be heavily sloped in her favor. ______The combination of copper filigree gauntlets, maroon arm wraps, and sweetheart claw covering her forelimbs were in place long before her arrival at the Flickering Shadows clan, and Victoire refuses to tell any of her clanmates why she's covered them up so thoroughly. After the first few scorched snouts, the other dragons got the hint - don't ask Victoire about her front legs, having assumed something horrible must have happened to her. In reality, it's merely a matter of embarrassment: a collage of burn scars and slices from her early days as a metalworker - she would rather they assume the worst than know she wasn't always as adept at her work as she is now. The claw covered by her metal sweetheart claw is actually in reasonable condition, but she likes to use the metal claw to make ornate designs on her best work. |
