Caiatis is said to be the golden child of the clan-mother, mostly due to his large build and personality. However, he shows little interest in taking over as a leader, content for the most part to stay with his team and keep the tribe protected. Of course, there are others who envy him, but he ignores the whispers in favor of becoming his own being.

As a hatchling of the current clan-mother, he is considered to be an heir to the title, though he has little interest in taking it. He would much rather spend his time travelling between the water and ice territories for his own personal curiosity. When he was a much younger drake, Caiatis ventured too far into an unfamiliar ice formation and became lost.

After several moons, ice formations began to grow across his flesh, preventing him from flight until a scout from another clan found him and helped get him back to a warmer region. However, the experience left its mark on him- pale markings now mark his body and he no longer flies very far or for very long. However, he still manages to get about, and still occasionally visits the ice territories, though with a companion to ensure that he does not come to harm again.
