Zeus
In elegant terms Zeus is a courtesan; in inelegant terms, he's a harlot. What he does isn't official, it isn't his designated job. He doesn't seek money or gifts, he's simply there because he's easily swayed by beauty; he's addicted to the pleasures in life. It's become a common sight to see him saddling up to any traveling dragons that pass by the clan; dragons that seek a place to rest and hide, away from the harsh winds of the Rotting Wasteland.
Sociable and friendly, what Zeus does in his free time is an unspoken fact among the clan. A whisper of a secret that almost everybody is keeping. Clinging to their tongues and constricting around throats like an amused Amphithere playing with its prey. Nobody can really do anything about it, they dare not speak a word. Whether they keep quite because of a fear of being ridiculed, a fear of Zeus himself, or for the shame of simply knowing, it matters not . Zeus does what he wants. Dione worries. |
