Lady of the Pool of the Purple Lotus
Blessing of Purification

In the Lionfish Palace suite of the Spiral Keep lies a sacred body of water called “The Pool of the Purple Lotus”. The pool has the unique ability to cure any ill or curse, but at the cost that the dragon or creature may never leave the Spiral Keep. Even creatures touched by the Shade maybe purified by swimming in these sacred waters, just as long as they have not been completely consumed by the darkness. The pool is also limited by that it cannot revive the dead nor can its waters be removed from the Spiral Keep, but still many come far and wide for the sake of purification.

And thus, Lady TidePool, the inheritor of the Pool of the Purple Lotus, acts as the keeper of the pool and attendant to those wish to purify themselves. A nurturing and compassionate lady, she tries her best to welcome and help those who come to the pool. But alas, those healed never stay long and often leave to other areas of Spiral Keep to work and live. Because of her duty to the pool she is bound even more tightly than those who swim in its waters, and must never leave its shores. The fact that her mate, TideLagoon, wanders so often does nothing to ease her loneliness- though when does come back, he spends hours upon hours telling her his tales of the world around her.

Recognizing that she still needed a friend, TideLagoon searched far and wide till he found he found the unfortunate tale of a maren named Scylla. The maren lady had been transformed into a monster by a jealous rival, and she terrorized ships and dragons alike for years. With the help of the Hounds of Tidelord mirror pack and a judicious use of his own magic, they caught the monstrous maren and dragged her to the Spiral Keep. It was truly a sight to see the ruckus that was caused by dragging a monster into the Keep and pushing it into the pool with a gigantic splash. Lady TidePool had many choice words with her mate about the stunt, but she forgave him as she took care of Scylla (now changed back into her proper maren form) and the two have become fast friends.

So those who are ill or cursed, or even those wishing just to talk, go to the Pool of the Purple Lotus and relax in its waters. Speak with the Lady of the Pool and her maren, and watch as the purple flowers dance among the ripples of its surface.

"To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float."
