Iah

Alhazred found Iah in the Carrion Canyon late one night when he was just a hatchling. The little dragon was alone, wandering past the bones scattered throughout the canyon without anyone at all. He couldn't have been more than a day old. Naturally curious and protective, Alhazred dipped into the canyon himself and plucked the tiny Imperial from the dust. Only after he had set him down on the ledge above did he notice the glittering silver gems decorating his body and the shining scales beneath. He was as beautiful and stunning as the moonlight above, shining proudly despite being so far from home (Pink eyes, after all, aren't native to the Shifting Expanse). When asked for a name the hatchling could provide none, so Alhazred picked one for him. He was dubbed Iah, Moon-son, and he was welcome to join their clan.

Keida wasn't thrilled to have outsiders in her clan, but she wasn't stupid. They could use the abilities of an Arcane dragon like him, and Imperials weren't at all a common occurrance anywhere in the world. She was never very warm to Iah, but she trained him and looked after him until he was old enough to fight, and then they took to the coliseum. She still hasn't completely taken to him, but it is obvious that the Matron is growing to like him.

Iah is a quiet dragon. He is still quite young, but he knows where his place is. Aside from Keida, he is the closest dragon to Alhazred, and Alhazred has a special place in his heart for the little hatchling he found in the canyon. Iah considers himself every bit Alhazred's and Keida's son as if he had hatched from the shell of their own egg, and wants nothing more than to remain in the clan and help protect it just as fiercely as Keida.
