As a Nocturne, Rose has always had a natural talent for mimicry and communication. With so many dragons of so many different species and flights in one clan, it can be rather difficult for messages to remain meaningful across cultural and language barriers. Rose helps to maintain the peace, both within the clan, and with nearby Beastclans and other dragon clans--a fitting role for the daughter of the clan's Ambassador to the Beastclans.

Her role as a translator does not only extend to written and verbal communication. She sees herself as a cross-cultural mediator, ensuring that feelings are not hurt unintentionally, and that problems are resolved swiftly and peacefully.

She is a firm believer in the concept of "listening with one's heart," a philosophy that she inherited from her father. Understanding others can be difficult, but it is by no means impossible. With enough effort, even the most difficult of diplomatic situations can be easily resolved. At least, that's how Rose feels. She just wants the entire clan to be one big, happy family. For the most part, she gets her wish.
