NECESSITY

Verdandi manufactures and sells magical perfumes. Some scents have the power to kindle lost memories; some are key components in complex conjurations, because nothing draws out the specifics of intent like a certain scent and certain herbs. Her perfumes have proved popular with Tundras, but all sorts of dragons buy her wares—fairy and mortal alike.
Moth sources most of her ingredients, and, in their coming and going from his storeroom, Verdandi and Hecate have crossed paths many times. They're different creatures: you may be able to make a deal for one of Hecate's charm bags, but it will not be for treasure, nor a simple barter of food or goods. Yet there is magic, still, in Verdandi's perfumes; she takes pride in their power, and she and Hecate have spent many hours comparing methods of distilling and combining.

The scent of mixed perfume trails from Verdandi's cape and wingtips, not quite like any single scent she has for purchase: hazier, deeper, smelling more the essence of perfume itself than of any single note; the base notes are resinous and deep, the head notes have faded to a ghost of their true selves.
