Emelia

Originally from Clan Warde's sister Wind clan, Emelia may have chosen to live in Dragonhome but her first loyalty is to art, beauty, and creation. She avoids the physical labour of tending the earth, preferring to spend her time creating beauty. This does not mean that she is idle. Indeed, Emelia is one of the busiest dragons in the clan.

She spends hours hunting down and cultivating plants for dyes, experimenting with various dye methods to create beautiful colors and shades. Emelia claims that the bright colors of the dye give her inspiration for the gorgeous textiles she uses them to create.

She needs more than just dye to make textiles, and Emelia gives much of her time and attention to breeding for the smoothest, most beautiful wool, Emelia works with Hlynur to create beautiful lengths of cloth that are more art than apparel.

Despite her size and appearance, her ferocity in controlling and guarding the silky-fleeced animals out of whose wool she produces her creations has been compared to that of a Guardian. No dragon may come between Emelia and her art.

Emelia's creations are dyed, painted, or sometimes embroidered in minute detail with infinite patience for the bit of metal that slips through her claws more easily than through her cloth. They hang on the walls of the walls of the lair, swathing the few chambers that are kept clean and empty enough to keep them safe. While simpler lengths may be sent with the couriers to trade, Emelia's most precious works have taken her years to create, and she protests any suggestion that they might leave the lair.

Her children, on the other hand, she sends away with a smile and her blessing, pleased to see another generation go on to serve the Earthcaller - more pleased that she is not called to move on herself. She is happy where she is, and has no desire to change.
