Venternoctunix is an outgoing and lively creature. She roamed Sornieth for some time with other young Wildclaws - racing each other across plains, exploring the wilderness, challenging whoever and whatever they came across. Despite being small for a female, Venter was a more than capable warrior; since the day she hatched she always enjoyed one of the highest combat ranks in the group. One midsummer, her group stopped into the Lair for the Lost and Searching to rest for a few days before moving on to new, unexplored places. That first day Venter wandered in to a hatchling training session where Caligovenetus was sparring with his friend Kazimir, and she developed rather a crush on the clearly skilled wildclaw. She returned the next day and the next, and every day that week. After eight days - much longer than her group had intended to stay, but she convinced them to wait - her group gave her an ultimatum. By this time her crush had begun to develop into something stronger, and she decided to stay on while her friends continued to roam. Her long-time friend Lacusvapos stayed on with her also. She immediately (and rather forcefully) volunteered to join the team of hatchling trainers to get closer to Caligovenetus. She was completely open about her feelings for him, but her overt brute-force attitude clearly flustered the far more reserved Caligovenetus. Eventually, she flat out asked him if they could begin courtship should she best him in a sparring match (since Kazimir would not allow a proper duel within clan walls for such a purpose). After a few minutes of stunned silence Caligo agreed. The match lasted over an hour and ended in a tie. Despite their competitive natures both were surprisingly satisfied with this result, and from that moment they became an item. The first word her fellow clan-dragons would use to describe her is 'loud'. She loves to talk, especially to visitors and new clan members. She adores tales; the taller and wilder, the better. Her barking, joyful laugh can be heard through the entire lair, as can her yelling, should she passionately disagree with someone. A stubborn and willful creature, once she has set her mind to something she will make it happen. She has never been against helping others but, until now, she didn't feel any need to go out of her way to do so. Since meeting Caligovenetus, however, and deciding his actions were delightfully noble, she has taken on his purpose as her own. She has also found solid friendships with Lacusnox and Maritima. Venter works mainly in the sparring ground as a combat instructor, as well as defending the lair and acting as security for the Teahouse at larger events when required.
