Biography
Laurel was the first to join Darys's clan. when he arrived, he seemed to be a drifter, his fur shaggy and with no possessions to his name. yet from the moment he came across her small lair, tucked away in the trees beside a lake, Laurel knew his home would be with Darys.
he has always been a mysterious dragon - no one in the clan knows exactly where he came from, except perhaps for Darys, and even her knowledge might be vague. regardless of his private nature, Laurel is adept at caring for the nests and hatchlings of the clan, and defends the clan's eggs from hostile dragons and wildlife. he finds himself sorrowful when dragons take their leave of the clan, as opposed to Darys's acceptance and felicitous goodbyes.
Laurel has fathered many children and mourned each of their farewells to the clan. he is especially glad that Adalberto seems to have become an heir to Darys; he sees her as his and Darys's daughter in all regards apart from blood.
he took the clan's migration the best, simply relieved that all dragons, hatchlings, and eggs were able to make the journey unharmed. although he comforts Darys for her loss, it doesn't matter to him where they make their lair, so long as they are together.
