Rhirid inherited both his breed's desire to create and its uncanny need to work. By work, he really means work. Rhirid is incapable of sitting still and doing nothing- he doesn't do downtime. No sir, he'll keep working and working and working until he collapses, usually during a very dangerous part of his work. It's a dangerous mindset that keeps him going through all hours on the clock with very little reward. See, tied into his workaholic mindset is the desire to make something even better. Even having built the most amazing contraption, unique and brilliant, he'll see something greater on the horizon and throw it aside as junk.

Sadly, this means that he feels very little satisfaction with his work. He's hard to impress- be that with other's work, which earns him no favours, or his own, which leaves others confused and sad. There is a workaround for this. It usually takes him quite a while to get to it- trying his best to create the best thing possible but soon he gives in. Imported from his birthland, there are magically infused substances mined from the inside of Crystalspine Reaches that help him immensely. Finally relaxed enough to look upon his work and see its beauty, he reclines back with a hard-earned smile on his face. But too soon, it will fade, and he'll get back up and work again.
