Celandine Howley

If you look closely, you can see her breathing. The slow rise and fall of her chest, shifting the snow and dust that settles over her silent form. Most would mistake her for a statue, a masterpiece, with magic to keep her looking so lifelike. She's largely ignored by the rest of the clan- those who are new tend to take a while to adjust to their silent observer, once they realize she's not just a perfect statue. Some speculate she was trapped, but the truth is that she has devoted herself to the ideals of Ice, and in this pursuit keeps herself as still as the prisoners the Icewarden keeps. A strange pursuit to follow for most, but Celandine isn't like most dragons.

She only breaks her vow to eat, her massive form suddenly coming to life with slow, lumbering movements. She eats her fill with wide eyed stares bombarding her, and then returns to her post, eyes looking on. She may look lifeless, as if asleep, but she observes everything that happens within the clan. She commits it to memory forever. Everyone else can decay, and fall, but she would remember it all. Every second, every expression, every speck of dust. She will remember it all for the rest of eternity.
