____Perch doesn't remember her parents. If she had any, their names and faces are long since forgotten. What Perch does remember is the pain. She remembers being abandoned, cast out and left to die in the midst of the wandering contagion's winter on the basis of the lair's old legend, that those of dark eyes were harbringers of death. She remembers wandering, starving, and feezing slowly, pain setting deep in her bones as she felt every moment of a slow death overtaking her. It was too cold, too barren, from the water she drank she felt strands if disease inset into her lungs and her body was wracked with gasps and coughs which interrupted what little sleep she got. And yet somehow, Perch survived. Sick and ragged, but now grown Perch used her now developed teeth and claws to claim the den of a stray hippogriff, and made it her own. There she settled, and there in time she'd find a small group who'd join her, forming for a time a shaky alliance of relationships of mutual benefit, then an equally shaky handful of relationships which touched somewhere deeper. However, no matter the bonds Perch formed now, a great rage still consumed her. A rage at the lair which abandoned her, a rage at the suffering she'd endured, a rage at all of dragonkind and, most of all, a rage at herself for her eyes, the source of all she'd endured. In her anger, Perch covered her eyes with a drooping shawl, and turned to the dark arts, with the mind to never feel so vulnerable again. Perch is now one of the most feared dragons inthe area in which her clan resides. Where this delve into power will go is uncertain, but the rage, the hate, the fear inside Perch's heart is persistent, and no matter the power she gains, it doesn't seem to dissipate. If she continues on this road, it may not spell good things for the world. Like her clan, Perch is not officilally affilated with any clan, but often partakes in trade with multiple. She does however have a deep devotion to the Tidelord and Plaguebringer, the position of the lair she established leading to a deep respect for the interactions of the elements they represent. inspiration for Perch's story from Lotron
