Leaf

About: Intrepid founder of the Palmetto Clan! He quickly found his familiar Chlorophyll while on a gathering expedition. His favorite roost is the orchid tree (Bauhinia variegata) on the eastern riverbank. Even there, he's the brightest thing in sight.

Motto: Go bold or go home.

Member of The Palmetto Slashers, along with Hyacinth and Aquifer (2nd team of the clan to reach Level 25, on May 7, 2014)

Note: in order to reach lvl 25, Leaf changed to the slash/eliminate skill set, and had envenom (though he never used it!) and ambush. After attaining his goal, he returned to his magical roots on May 13, going back to the original meditate/contuse skill set. He also swapped envenom out in favor of regeneration (later changed to Aid), and traded ambush for discipline. Since Hyacinth and Aquifer are statted to be exaltee guides, Leaf is pretty much retired from the Coli business unless his assistance is needed, such as when Hickory was going for the Reflection achievement. To help with that endeavor, he traded Contuse for Haste.

He also obtained a field manual, so that all the dragons of the clan might be guided to at least level 5. (Now 7)

Current Skills:

Familial History: When Leaf first formed the clan, he was joined by a fae named River. They had four offspring together. Trillium, Pomegranate, and Lobelia went to serve the Gladekeeper, but Bear stayed with his mother. Eventually River, Bear, and Bear's mate Pearl exalted together.

Leaf's second mate was a fae named Butterfly. They had three children, two of whom - Cicada and Moth- soon exalted. Lemon eventually followed, as did Butterfly herself.

Leaf's third mate was a fae named Petal. They amicably decided to part romantic company in favor of other mates, but remained friends, to the extent that Petal even continued to host all her parties in the Royal Pink Rose Garden. Petal and her mate Tendril and children eventually exalted, but not before Petal's daughter Petal II and Leaf's son Dash had a nest of hatchlings.

Leaf's fourth mate is a Fae named Orchid, who arrived from a friendly clan. Their children are Nectar, Blossom, LeafChaser, Dart, Flutter, Dash, Pinkie, and Greenie. All have exalted, except for LeafChaser, who now resides at her mother's former clan.

Leaf's fifth mate, Melon, is a gift from a kind stranger. A gen one guardian with matching colors, she changed to a Fae and joined the family.

Leaf and Melon have a son who was born during the clan's time in Wind, who stayed with the clan instead of exalting to record what they learned in that flight. Leaf and Orchid have a son who was born during the clan's time in Arcane, who also stayed to document the mysteries of the Isles. These five dragons peacefully rule the Palmetto Clan. One day Leaf hopes to bring his family back to his beautiful orchid tree by the river, in the little swamp where he first settled.


update: July 7, 2016... Leaf finally receives his first gene... underbelly tertiary!
His light green (Leaf), pink (Magenta), and dark green (Jungle) colors represent the three flights he's taken his clan through: Nature, Wind, and Arcane, and one day back to Nature.
