CEPHALO
Dancer and Trapeze Artist  Obnoxiously cheery might be a tad too strong. Willfully cheery, perhaps? Lamentably cheery? Cephalo's lamentably cheery. No-one can deny her talent and Cabinetry abilities, of course, particularly at such a fresh age; but Cephalo's nature is a bit like a spoonful of honey. It's lovely just once, but by the third spoonful your teeth are getting sticky and you want to take a shower. At least she isn't malicious about it – only ignorant, and terribly naive. If the young dancer had to pick three things she adored above all else, it would be difficult, but the list would look something like: dancing, Sully, and clothes that jingle. Following this would be a long list of flowers, at least three species of bird, the name of every member of the dancing troupe in alphabetical order, and interestingly shaped clouds. Although on very enthusiastic terms with everyone in her troupe, Cephalo finds it hard to make close friends. Her aggressively lively nature tends to skirt over uncomfortable topics, deeper emotional issues, and conflicts of any kind; she becomes confused and sullen when people grow annoyed at this tendency. Nonetheless, her presence livens up the troupe tenfold. Its ambitious spirit and energy come in no small part from her influence, and Sully is there to keep focus from waning – in this way, they make a good team. Sully hopes age and experience will diminish Cephalo's less mature tendencies. Cephalo and Little Marmaduke get along very splendidly. The small, shy man appreciates Cephalo's optimism and love of theatre, and both of them prefer to ignore the darker parts of life. It's no surprise that Cephalo remains entirely ignorant of Marmaduke's Nightmare. Nature Cabinetrist. |
