The Mistress

When Ignacia was young, her head was full of the beautiful airy tales Teavra told her of true love and chivalry. All her life, she'd wanted nothing but the love of a handsome young warrior. What she got was Slattern.

With beauty unrivaled, she'd caught the attention of Sheatrima's second in command, who's loyalty to his mate had begun to shift. Sheatrima's coldness sent Slattern seeking companionship elsewhere, and he found it in the beautiful but naive young Ignacia.

Ignacia thought she'd found her soulmate, and when she found herself pregnant with her first clutch, she thought that Slattern would be as thrilled as she was. She was devastated when Slattern, frightened for his position and of Sheatrima's fury at his betrayal, first refused to acknowledge her pregnancy as his doing, and then pleading with her to get rid of the hatchlings as soon as she could.

Upon the birth of her hatchlings, Ignacia refused and said she would tell everyone, including Sheatrima that these were Slattern's children. It wasn't long, however, until her mind was made up for her. Veil paid the young mother a visit, and shortly after, every single one of Ignacia's hatchlings were tragically dead.
Ignacia's illicit affair with Slattern continues quietly, though the products of their union never seem to last long. It's a public secret, and Sheatrima tolerates the liaisons under the expectations that Ignacia hold her silence. So far, she seems to be doing just that.
