Addicted to pure moonlight, the elixir of her life.
Mondkind came to birth in a frozen, magical night in the Fortress of Ends when the fullmoon reflected in the frigid, eternal monument of the Icewarden itself. It is said that the Icewarden loved her crystal clear heart so much that he blessed her with god-like powers and eternal life. However, Mondkind's body was too fragile to bear his gift. When her body was about to shatter in a thousand crystal shards, the Icewarden was freezing her to prevent her from dying, only allowing her to awake when the night is filled with pure moonlight - the only elixir being able to hold her body together. He entrusted her to the Aether who promised to save Mondkind from the godly forces within her and to protect her, until she arises as a godlike being whenever the sky is unclouded and unleashes the light of the moon in its absolute purity.

As Mondkind advanced in years, Cloudwhisperer created a crystal jar filled with moonlight elixir he collected and cured with his exceptional arcane powers, making her able to be awake for a few hours each day. Since then, she started her magical apprenticeship under ward of Cloudwhisperer, and as they formed a strong bond of attachement and devotion, Mondkind became his foster-daughter.
