Tale Iseult is the democratically elected Thane of Fairweather, a small provincial town some hundred odd miles due west of the Gladevines. It has a very interesting history - one which Iseult, who is not paid enough to memorise entirely in full, has deputised others to recording and studying - which has resulted in the term of Thane being a very precise seven and a three-quarters years long. Iseult has not long begun her post, but does not think it is going too badly. She is a native of Fairweather; good thing too, and a necessity to navigate the bizarre election process that tradition dictates. A sweet-natured child, she attending a fine university within the Frozen Sanctum of the Southern Icefields to pursue her education. With a head for a lively discussion, well trained in Fairweather's markets and taverns, and a sufficiently mild manner as to readily tolerate anecdotes from beleaguered constituents as well as the droll of paperwork, she returned to her home town a natural successor to the previous, aging Thane. Responsible for overseeing festivals, organising the work of ambassadors and the town's guardsmen as well as ensuring trade routes are maintained, artisan's and guilds permits are renewed, and marriage rites are observed, Iseult works closely with many dragons in the town. Perhaps her time in the Southern Icefields was a tad too long, perhaps - she remains lightly sharp, and slightly closed off from those around her, save but only a choice few. Traits Iseult is kindly - not in a mothering way, however, more in that sort of your friend's older sister who gave you lifts to the shopping centre but also called you twerp sort of way. She has a firm rapport with her administrative assistant, Juno, as she feels it appropriate to keep professional boundaries in addition to wishing to provide a strong driver for the younger fae's growth and development. Truthfully, she would very much like to get Juno to just sit down for five minutes and have a drink with her, but. Well. Sometime in the next four-and-six-eigths years, perhaps. |
