The light danced across the surface of the sea like a thousand suns. You squinted your eyes, wondering how any dragon could withstand the blinding ripples. It was hard, but as you continued to walk across the sand, your eyes slowly adjusted. Blinking at the light, you turned to gaze out across the blue-green ocean. It was a beautiful sight, that was for sure, even if it did hurt your eyes. But the light wasn't the only aspect of beauty; crumbling pillars scattered across the landscape, buried in both sand and grass, and small flowing bushes dotted the earth. The light only seemed to intensify the color of everything, casting dramatic shadows upon the pillars and creating vibrant pink, yellow, and orange hued flowers.

Admiring the scene, you hadn't noticed a small skydancer sneak up behind you. She was far smaller than you were, and couldn't be more than a few weeks or so old. In fact, you had to bow your head to look her in her golden eyes. We are a small clan, a young clan. We have not yet had a chance to grow to greatness, a hushed, silky voice murmured across your consciousness. Taken by surprise, you lifted a paw to backtrack, but paused. She showed no hostility, no emotion aside from a small twinkle in her golden eyes, but that may have just been the water's reflection.

You will like your stay here, the skydancer said, unfurling her rust-colored wings. The sun caught on every vein of every feather, throwing the light this way and that. Everything about the dragon seemed to whisper "light"; golden brindled the top of her body, melting into the sky-colored blue of her scales. I am Sundari, future queen of this small clan. When I am grown, I will reign across the light-lands, and eventually, I will meet the Lightweaver herself. Her blue and golden scaled face seemed to smile, turning from you to the sun-lit ocean beyond. Enjoy your stay, traveler. Know that you are welcome anytime.
