Deep in the Wispwillow Grove, where the shade walkers stalk, and the wendigos hunt, grows a tree that stretches up into heaven and down into hell, camouflaged by thick dragon magic, is the only safe abode in the kingdom of darkness. The Yggdrasil.
It is under the protection of a Queen, whose very life is connected to the tree for they are one and she is it.
She is a fair Queen, kind and loving, but fierce and protective. Powerful magic seeps off of her scales like mist, coalescing on the ground in violet sparks, emerald wisps, and cobalt spikes. A river of aura drifts every time she breathes, a fully jade torrent collecting above her head in a halo.
Inside the tree and under her watch are countless dragons, all misfits and outcasts, put through hell and back.
All are extremely powerful in their own way and all are happy.
