The Lore of our homes spans back centuries. Where once this island was grand and open--spanning miles across the sea--now it is lesser and eerily beautiful. Where we reside, the Crystalspine Reaches, was once towering mountains adorned with a multitude of wildlife. When They came was when the mountains became crystal, jagged and curved like a deformed spine. Most of the wildlife disappeared. For you see, They made their home in the sky above ours, and they turned our island into a conduit for magical energy. Magic was even sapped out of the dragons who lived there. The few dragons who didn't die from the drainage of magical energy were able to make their homes within the Reaches, carving convoluted tunnel systems that only they could navigate. You might be wondering why our ancestors didn't find a new place to call home. That is because They wouldn't let the surviving dragons leave. They needed help. Help that only the dragons living there could give. This is why our home is also our prison. This is why hide. Why we only come out to offer magic filled crystals to the ones who live in the sky.

This is our home, and if we try to leave we die, as does our Arcana legacy.
