Clan Lore

Hidden away under the depths of the shattered plain is an extensive, deep cave system spanning hundreds of miles. Either by natural means or magical- the only way in or out is via the elusive canyon entrance- a massive reinforced stone door that opens similarly to a portcullis, though the mechanisms behind which are either obscured from view, or never existed in the first place. Peculiarly, the entrance and the cave system itself seems to move around sporadically from time to time, as such documenting it and its inhabitants is difficult. However- it is of interest that a rather extensive magical ley line flows underneath it, as such visitors hoping to make use of it are not unheard of.

Very rarely do others willingly find themselves in the caverns- if the pack does not want to be seen, they will remain hidden. If they find you, they either wish to welcome you in or force your exit as soon as possible- and ensure that you forget the caverns and its pack entirely. Members wishing to leave the pack are allowed to do so, though may only sparingly remember their time within the depths.

It's divided into three separate sections- the cave mouth/door, middle and deep caverns. Most of the residents live and work within the middle, and the vast majority rarely go within the deep unless the situation is dire. All sections are lit, though nonetheless members must become acclimated to darkness and memorize the format of rooms and corridors quickly lest they lose their way. The deep caverns in particular is notoriously difficult to navigate- for an enforced reason: to protect not only the history of the pack, but that of the tidbits of earth flight history the pack claims ownership of. That, and a well-hidden room that the pack matriarch, Pyrhaari, keeps fiercely guarded. Whatever is within that room, though, is something only she knows and keeps safe.

The pack has existed within the system for countless generations. Like most earth clans, history and memory is highly cherished, despite Mirrors being a rather fluid species. It's also fiercely guarded, though different members of the pack will give you different reasons for that fact. Out of obligation, a mirror may surface occasionally to forfeit artifacts and tomes so that they might be available to the public, though they will give very little information on whence they came. They value privacy, and are not afraid to use tooth, nail, and magic to defend it. History must be protected, after all- and so the caverns remain largely shrouded in mystery- far, far underground.}

Thanks for the compliment on my lair! I plan on fleshing my lair lore out more so it's not all silly but still pretty silly. Your lair is so cool! I love the descriptions of different areas and the lil quotes from each dragon.

Oh thank you! I love your Mirrors too -- I absolutely *adore* Mirror monolairs, I've always wanted to have one, but couldn't bring myself to get rid of some of my oldies haha. Love your lore too btw!
