The year is 2030. In this alternate timeline, spaceflight technology has advanced leaps and bounds, and other planets and moons in the Solar System have already been colonized. A ship carrying a small community of human astronauts crash-lands on a mysterious planet eighty-three light-years away from Earth, previously undocumented and unknown to Earth's astronomers. The ship skids to a halt in the middle of a barren, red wasteland, full of mysterious and abhorrent creatures that either skitter away or observe the aliens with curiosity. With most of the crew dead, the remaining survivors are left to trek what they will soon discover is the Scarred Wasteland.
On their journey, they come across sparse signs of intelligent life -- ruins here and there, art and effigies, and some rudimentary technology. Expecting to find humanoid life, the astronauts are shocked to discover that the sapient inhabitants are all dragons. They have landed on Sornieth, and have crossed explorer Galileo as he is on his quest to catalogue all the creatures on the planet. Initially, they are terrified of him -- he is a hulking Ridgeback, and they don't know what he's capable of. Galileo offers to take care of them in his clan, as they are preoccupied with staving off the Shade and attacks from Nature dragons. Accepting that it will be a long time before help arrives, the human refugees are introduced to the world of Sornieth from the backs of the dragons, but are kept closely hidden away from the rest of the realm -- there's no telling what will happen if Sornieth knows that there is other intelligent life that has reached them.

However, trouble is brewing. A dragon named Steele, formerly taken in by Raven's Roost, is suffering from being Shade-touched. He has left the clan and his family behind, and nobody knows what has become of him. He has rallied a group of destitute dragons behind him in his conquest for power, to help the Shade devour all of the magic in Sornieth, and he is its primary vessel. Galileo, Pablo, Quinn, Ghast, and the others must band together and scour the planet for signs of Steele, to find out what has happened to him before it's too late.

i like collecting/breeding pretty dragons, feel free 2 look around here and say hi to them. they are NOT for sale or for rent so please don't ask me, sorry. this is not an exalting lair, i care about all my dergs and i play fairly casually. this is just a way for me to catalogue my dragons and write some fun lore. i mainly come on here to do the daily tasks and grind for treasure so i can expand my lair, if you like my dragons please do let me know which ones are your fave -- and tell me if they make it to the front page, too!! if you buy a dragon from me i will also check on them regularly!!
