Dragon Jobs
WhiskeyTortoise's Clan
Clan Info
Large cracks in the wall of the Carrion Canyon are not unusual, but the electric lanterns that surround a particular fissure's perimeter - strung around metal poles that jut out from the cliff face - mark it as the location of a dragon clan.
While the crack formed naturally, roughly half of the caves, caverns, and structures inside the well-lit lair were built after The Xenith Arc took up residence. Artificially built or cleared caves are easy to identify; they feature almost excessive use of metal plating and supports to keep them structurally sound.
Only those from the clan's conception know of the matriarch's fear of cave-ins; the Arc's location of origin wasn't nearly as well-supported as it could have been, to put it lightly.
The lair is heavily ornamented with stone monuments lined with gemstones, rare ores, and carvings; metal racks to hold weapons, tools, and armor; artifacts, relics, and scrolls on display in personal caves; (often crudely drawn) maps of Sornieth; and electric doodads that don't do much except make noise and flash interesting colors.
Xenith is definitely looking forward to a break from the clutter upon a future relocation of the clan; she tries not to think about it returning to this state of untidiness once everyone is settled in.
The clan is designed and ruled as a matriarchy. The females of the clan are trained in combat and given more leeway with their roles, whereas males hunt, gather, and look after the hatchlings as essential duties.
Xenith, the clan's matriarch, has a strong belief in exalting for the glory of her clan. All her chicks, male and female, are to be trained as workers to serve the Stormcatcher.
