The town of Strange is a collection of oddly-shaped, and even more oddly arranged, white and sand-colored quartz buildings located on the shores of the Sunbeam Ruins, not far from Lanternlea Port.

Once the site of a perilous cliff that overhung a scant beach, the cliff has been carved and terraced into a nearly vertical city-scape, complete with a marketplace and town center that seem to levitate above the craggy landscape. A weathered but steadfast boardwalk made of golden maple planks morphs into a bustling wharf with multiple piers. Vendors, warehouses, and taverns skirt the edges of the quay, providing goods and services for vessels, visitors, and crew that disembark here. Recently, a raised platform and staircase have taken up residence along the boardwalk, providing a docking area for dirigibles and balloons.

The original beach has been expanded, golden-white sands slipping down into cerulean waters for many meters. Rows of wooden chaise loungers are accented with brightly colored umbrellas anchored in the sand. Near the base of the cliff, various sizes of gable-roofed structures evoke impressions of traditional houses, though they're simply changing rooms.

A wide path of carefully fitted cobblestones winds it way slowly up the side of the steep cliff in easily navigable switchbacks. The avenue sidles against gardens and storefronts alike, delivering all and sundry to myriad eccentric and opulent doors just waiting to welcome them in. Towering wrought-iron lamp posts frame the road, their four-sided, clear glass lanterns springing to life automatically at dusk each night.

Atop the cliff sits the renowned and prestigious Du'ulnis Academy. A sprawling building comprising four outstretched wings arranged in a series of circular towers backed onto a large octagonal keep, the Academy is capable of hosting up to six hundred students and staff. A variety of courses are offered in a staggered, year-round schedule, insuring that all who want to learn can.

Near the hamlet's center is the Grand Union, housed in a large, rectangular building topped with a gilded, inverted heart-shaped roof. It unites all of the town's guilds under one mantle. Craftsmen, tradesmen, merchants, and artisans of all kinds are accepted into the union.

Strange is a managed by a High Council, the head of which is the Commissioner. The City Guard police the town, keeping things safe and secure, while the Special Corps provide security for the Commissioner and Councilmen.

The town is rife with curiosities and anomalies, both in folk and fashion. Those who might be seen as other, outcast, or misfit find their place in Strange.

Scintille was on the front page and my god he is STUNNING. i thought for sure he had to have an accent on with how perfectly the intricate colors/patterning on him are, but nah the outfit is just That Good.
