I go by Mai around here! Don't be afraid to approach me if you see a dragon you like in my lair! I'm perfectly happy to work things out with you--and if it's a dragon I'd rather not let go of, I'm happy to explore breeding options. C:

The lore is a work in progress, and only a few dragons have descriptions. I am working on things, however - I'm aiming for a faintly unsettling, big-family-in-the-country who barely talk to others vibe.

This is an account of one of the older clans in the Blacksand Annex. I've been lucky enough to have been extended an invitation to join - the first extended to an adult dragon in decades. My name is Twist Witherwing, though here I have been renamed Abalone, as is custom in this clan. It is not their only odd custom.

This is a mysterious clan that lives far deeper in the mist than most. They are isolatated from the rest of the clans and occasionally go silent to the outside for years on end. They are superstitious, and seem to eschew things that are considered staples in other clans and regions - electricity, for example. They are a large and diverse group made up of families - many exhibit the cherub and clown genes with eyespots wings. However, the matriarch, Cecilia, knows how everyone is related to everyone else - it is only with her blessing that dragons may take a new partner, so to avoid unfortunate pairings.

This clan is also essentially independent, and have a large garden for local food, and regularly organize trips to other areas to gather food... much to the dismay of other flights. This is how I first met them, with three of their treasure-seekers digging the ice with fire-enhanced claws.

I will recount the whole tale later in this account. For the moment, however, this is simply a preface to these people. I intend to conduct interviews with all of the dragons present to learn their histories. I will also try to write an account of the local lore and rituals.

Without further ado, here is my account of one of the strangest clans in the lands.
