The murk sighs heavily in the air here, where the remnants of a river that once flowed to the Veridian Labyrinth grew lethargic and choked in the shadowy sludge. Brambles and pines tear through the haze, only to be swallowed up again in the shadow. And yet, life is not absent. Chickadees and crows call from the treetops, snakes and axolotls churn through the earth, and lights glisten upon the languid water, glistening in strands from the beams of a great ship half submerged in the muck and twinkling alongside the draconic laughter emanating from within.

Fae nests in the rafters, bogsneak dens beneath the keel.

The chimes of lighthearted foolhousery from the galley, the clash of a trained guard mercilessly sparring on the deck.
