Clan Info

Welcome to the lair formed for the Norrath Dragons. The dragons sleeping, breeding, and playing in this lair have long been sought or hunted for prestige, bounty, and treasure. No more! Not on my watch. They deserve to relax and feel safe as we all need relaxation and security.

As a young, foolish adventurer, I encountered many of these gentle creatures in my search for excitement and glory - one residing here even has my namesake. When I retired from a life of battle and pillaging, I realized my folly in endangering such beautiful creatures. I cast aside my sword to pick up tools (and some snazzy decorating skills may I add) to make a safe home for the dragons my comrades and I once plagued with our constant raiding in their lands.

Within this calm but mighty lair, you will find each dragon's room neatly arranged in a hierarchy voted upon by its occupants. At the start of your visit through the Norrath Lair, you will find the Norrath Gods. They fear nothing and stay at the front of the lair to protect their brood. Next, you will happen upon Norrath’s more well known dragons. These guys have no problem with visitors or foes as they have previously encountered many raiding parties before retiring here to the lair. Not far from these Original Gangsters of Norrath reside a special lot of dragons. Dragons (perhaps more accurately called Dragonkin, but we can address that later on in this scroll) named after superior adventurers that visited many of the dragon caves in Norrath as well as every other inch of the Norrathian map. As you meander near the back of our humble home, you will meet the dragons with familiar names but unknown as dragons. They simply call themselves by the areas of Norrath, zones of the world if you will, that they frequented or protected unbeknownst to the rest of the land. If you are brave enough to delve to the far end of our comfortable lair, you will have a rare treat of meeting the dragons that have always been. The foundation of Norrath and a tight circuit simply created so that world of Norrath may rest on their backs - a calling they are happy to answer.

Please don’t be alarmed if you do not initially recognize the dragons by sight. I realize the names are familiar while the faces may not have the same familiarity. Norrath was, and still is, a magical, ever changing place. Some Norrathian Gods were always dragons while some are now disguised as dragons within our lair. Some of the most famous dragons residing in the lair cultivated a fantastic magic that allows them to remain in the lair in their truest form (a form I had also never seen until the lair formed) while also appearing as if they are present in their old visage to new adventurers of Norrath. Unfortunately, I can’t tell all of their secrets, but suffice to say these “replicas” are ever spawning to quench the thirst of adventurers while leaving our retirees happy and unscathed. If you are curious about the dragons of which you have never seen or heard their tale while knowing their Norrathian land names, I don’t blame you! Dragon camouflage is an amazing and majestic thing! Who knew these noble, silent wanderers were protecting Norrath all this time? I surely didn’t until they sought solace in our lair. We are so happy they arrived! As for the Byte lineage in the simple and numeric caves in the back of the lair? Well, those are the dragons that have always been and always will be. They are everything that developed and created our beautiful lands and Norrathian dragons. The true Norrath Gods.

Oh, what? The dragons named after adventurers? The ones that I like to call dragonkin? That particular group of “dragons” was named by our oldest present Norrathian in the name of the most loyal, most friendly, most gracious, most kind, most playful, most grateful, and most fierce adventurers that ever blessed Norrath. Adventurers that were true friends to Norrath, its people, and its dragons. The best of the very best. Perhaps these adventurers always had the heart of a dragon. Perhaps those hearts are now able to reside in the true form of a dragon. Who is to say? The only thing I said is that Norrath is magical, perhaps because of the dragons and dragonkin that have resided there.

Don’t we all all strive to possess a heart akin to a dragon?

I hope you have enjoyed your visited to our lair. Feel free to leave me a note with questions or comments. I will be happy to answer you as soon as possible. You can find me amongst the dragonkin caves in the lair or simply leave a note here. Blessed Be.
