Defiance in the face of the Gods would not be tolerated. As their allies turned on them, their enemies drew closer. At the end, Setheon's own family would turn on him as well. His daughter Lonamia and her mate Hayato both aligned with Setheon's mate Khorra to assassinate him. They would not succeed as the youngest son of Setheon and Khorra would stand by his father's side and lay low his own siblings and mother. As Achurn wept over his family's betrayal, the Gods' wrath was unleashed upon the Wolfethorne. Before the battle began, Setheon instructed Achurn to run as far as his will would take him with the female Bogsneak, Gara, and two hatchlings. While Achurn fled with the survivors, Setheon was annihilated for his transgressions. Word of Achurn's slaughter of his mother and siblings spread like wildfire, and now the world looks down upon the Mirror as he searches for atonment for his sins.
