Theodora

The Gatehouse of the Beacon, Theodora... a storied city of marble columns and elegant villas. Though few reside, many visit, from Beacon-bound pilgrims and missionaries, to scholars, and city-bound tourists come to enjoy the market and museums. Theodora's proximity to the Beacon, as well as its numerous libraries and museums, make it a bustling hub of knowledge and culture.

Near the entrance to Theodora, down a side street where the lanterns burn low and even the Nightwatch's gaze is lax, a wooden sign juts out from a low patio deck. A red bird is painted on it, and below it, scrolled elegantly, is titled "The Rook".
Upon entrance, the sound of a merrily strumming bard can be heard... the sound of clinking coins and glasses, grunts, landing punches, and knives in the tables. Adventurers gather in flocks around tables, poring over maps and bounties. Not a bad place to come if you need a mercenary, either. Quite the establishment... so long as you don't mind the risk of losing a few teeth.
