Amehime's Clan

On the sun-kissed cliffs west of the Hewn City stands a single weeping willow. It's roots forming small pools as they crawl towards the cliff side and the sea below. Few ancestor willows such as this one still exist, for they only grow where elemental lay lines cross. While this tree is not natural to the Ruins such as the redwoods that litter the golden fields it still stands beautifully. Far below its sweeping branches littered in small lanterns lays an ancient underground temple once abandoned to the ages. Few would know by looks alone that dragons of every kind do in fact live under and around the weeping willow.

Said dragons are a small but mighty empire known for their kindness. At their head stands two Imperials by the names of Tempest (♀) and Akihiko (♂). The two came to the Ruins after their clan formerly lead by Tempest alone was attacked by the shade. In hopes of starting anew, the clan’s healer and founders picked out a place to grow the sapling that would soon shelter those who survived the massacre. Using a mixture of the lay lines under the temple and raw nature magic they managed to grow the willow to its present size. With a home to return to the rest of the battered group followed their leader hoping she would not lead them astray. Since then many of every walk of life has entered the temple, some have stayed and some have gone. Regardless of the length of one’s stay in the sanctuary all are welcomed with open arms.

Much has happened to the dragons of the Submerged Willow Sanctuary since leaving the Windswept Plateau. The shade has attacked, battles have been fought, death has walked the halls, and usurpers have come to take what they think is theirs. Despite all of this the empire still stands their leaders and civilians all standing in a united front. Even their dead still claw at the throats of all who dare to break the peace they have found under the Lightweaver’s divine gaze.
