Halidom - Old English for a sacred space.

A Light clan, based in a crumbling Pantheatic temple to all the elements located in the far northeast regions of the Hewn City, where light still shines through the far reaches of the Shade-induced cloud. The crumbling marble walls are pierced with shafts of warm golden light, and vines of ivy curl up and around the walls. At the heart of the sanctuary, still intact, is a ruined, mysterious organ, which the clan founder, Appassionata, has restored and guards.

Clan Halidom was founded in the earliest days of Sornieth's population, when fragments of the Shade still lurked in the corners of the world. The temple was one such place - Quinten nearly lost his life in the battle against it. Appassionata originally thought her Charge was just the organ in the center of the temple. She discovered that for her, as her worldview evolved, her Charge expanded to include the spiritual meaning of the temple - purity from the Shade, through the strength of united Elements. She researches the causes of Shade infestations and what can be done to prevent such occurrences.

Most of the clan is engaged in some form of academia. Clan Halidom's library is renowned for three reasons - for holding one of the most complete collections of music in Sornieth, for being one of the oldest libraries still open, and for keeping to a longstanding policy of access to members of all flights - unlike some other libraries in Light's domain.
