Soft green light filters through the canopy, illuminating the humid haze of the ancient forest. Birdsong echoes overhead. The spongy moss underfoot softens your steps. Your long trek through wild and dense jungle has at last ended, your destination nigh impossible to find. Visible ahead through the dense undergrowth is a tree far more massive and ancient than those around it. It is nowhere near the size of the Behemoth, but it is still wider than even the largest dragon's wingspan. It is gnarled and grey, hung with moss and vines, but still thrives green and strong by the ancient magic of the Gladekeeper. Dragon nests bowered with living branches trained to grow into shelters line its upper limbs. Glowing, pendulous flowers trail down to light your path. Its twisted roots open at the base into a spacious and warmly-lit cavern. Inside resides a tightknit clan, a family, who have come through many trials and tribulations for the peace they share here, in the Shrieking Wilds. An ancient guardian female of a golden-green hue greets you with a kind smile. She dips her head and speaks in a voice as deep, strong and steady as the great tree in which she resides...
"Welcome to our home. Here, in the ancient footprints of the Gladekeeper, the deep-rooted magics of Life have been cultivated and used to create a well-hidden and protected sanctuary. We call this place Arcadia, and I am my clan's figurehead, Azoulas. Here, we tend to many living things, offering refuge to any creature in need. We strive to make this a place where creativity thrives, and where those who practice the scholarly and arcane arts have the resources to do so. We're glad that your journey through life has brought you to us. Please enjoy our viridian home while you're here, partake of the lush fruits of the land, and find solace in wandering the endless forest."

"Arcadia consists of Treehome and the glade and forest immediately surrounding it. There are six main areas utilized by dragons. Greatroot hall is the main entrance to the tree and serves as a gathering place. The lower roots are inhabited by those who commune with the Gladekeeper and those who study and practice magic. The upper roots are where you will find dragons providing various goods, supplies, and refreshments. In the undergrowth surrounding the glade is where you will find dragons practiced in the martial arts. In the trunk and lower boughs, many dragons conduct research or maintain archives so that we may better understand the living and material world. And lastly, in the upper boughs many dragons rest, make their nests, play, and make merry.

"When I and the first few came together here, it had been abandoned after a plague struck. Many of the caverns and tunnels had already been dug, but were in disrepair. We worked together to make the place habitable, and prepare it for the lost souls we knew would wander through as well as any enemies that may appear.
"In the beginning we were few enough to operate without a clear leader or organization. Our love for each other was strong enough to guide us to cooperate. As our numbers grew, this became a challenge. We convened many times to address the question of how to conduct our affairs. Many members, new and old, had fled tyranny and abuse, and recognized the systems of power that allowed it to happen. The initial consensus was that we avoid recreating those systems. Some wanted a leader, but most did not. There were violent schisms, but none deadly. Many left. The question then was how to achieve a leaderless peace. Certain members thought a ruling syndicate could make collective decisions representing the rest. This of course fell through quickly as others were misrepresented, and power once again became asymmetrical.
"The core tenets began to emerge; Do as thou wilt. Conflicts are mediated publicly, accompanied by ritual and feast. Ambiguity and fluidity are accepted as nature, and no social category is strictly drawn. We trust that we are able to reach our most actualized individual selves through interdependence, like the roots of the forest intertwined. We seek harmony with all life and accept that harmony does not mean peace. I hope that this answers your question adequately!"
