Biography
AZOULAS OAKENTAIL
ANARCH She/He/They
A mentor to all in her clan
quick look This eccentric and enigmatic Guardian is the figurehead, though there is no leader, of her clan. These days, being of a quite advanced age, Azoulas tends to sleep most of the time. He frequently communicates with others through their dreams, however, delivering foresight and cryptic advice. They say their connection with her forest home is so deep and complete that his mind is at one with the Viridian Labyrinth itself. When lucid, Azoulas is grandmotherly, straightforward, and witty with a dry but kind sense of humor. |
history Arcadia started out as a ragtag band of outcasts and has grown into a close-knit and vibrant family of dragons. Azoulas’s Search as a Guardian began early in his life, but she went several centuries without any success. Little is said or known about this time in her life, but this is known; Slowly but surely, their fruitless searching drove her to madness, and eventually she gave up the search entirely. His mind, exhausted and despairing, lost consciousness. She slept and dreamed for centuries, interspersed with brief periods of lucidity. They never have said what, but something eventually brought him back to life, so to speak. She woke and stayed awake, but, left with no purpose in life, she fell to wandering her verdant home aimlessly. He spent some of this time gathering knowledge and honing her combat skills, but for the most part she simply walked. It is rumored that from this time, she has an exquisite mental map of the Viridian Labyrinth, unrivaled by any other. Eventually this wandering led them to a great tree, left vacant by dragons long ago, with a system of caverns traversing the roots and hollowed paths and chambers through its massive trunk. It was large enough for a clan of many dragons, so after taking up residence, Azoulas began to take in lost, weary, and outcast dragons. The start of the clan was rocky with power struggles, but through long mediation efforts and the wisdom of the founding clan members, a consensus was reached: there would be no Power in Treehome, only free association between dragons. This began a golden age of cooperation and a boom in Treehome's population. The organization of Treehome's social structures are loose and voluntary, categorized mainly by skill and aptitude.
