I'd love calico genes.
I'd also love to see:
-Fawn spots gene
-Fur genes (primary and secondary)
-Stained glass secondary (which I'll go post to the secondary suggestions thread)
I support the Calico gene!

How about this: fish scales! Displayed on a Tundra because they are the least scaly regular breed. I really want a primary gene that doesn't darken the base colors, but shifts the hue instead. Similar to Iridescent. Depending on the color, it can be more or less vibrant and contrasting. Here are Auburn, Spearmint, Ultramarine and Pistachio.

I think this could be a great gene for other dragons in general as well.(I don't know how/have an editing program to do this to other dragons to find out, but I think this is a great idea for a gene!)

Sorry, long post! But I keep seeing the same ideas (good as they may be!) quoted a lot, so I decided to go back to the very beginning and work my way through and pick out some neat suggestions from yesteryear and beyond.
Here's what I dredged up from the past! I like these! It's also pretty neat to see people suggest things like "metallic" and "crystal" and be like!! we have those now!!

Marbles' been suggestion, but to add on, what if marble was peregrines' matching gene?
(Forgive the terrible art, I'm not good at marbled designs)

here's a really rough mockup

i just... thought thisd be appropriate, since a lot of the genes we have are animal based. this is a familiar pattern for a lot of people and i believe it would look nice on dragons!

There's not much of a grand fancy concept behind these really, and I'm not too tied down to the names of the genes either. Honestly, I just started doodling shapes on a wildclaw, and liked the direction that it started to go in!
Of course, I couldn't help but play around and try out different colour combos too. :D The colours were eyedropped from seraph.
Also, not sure if I should post this again in the secondary gene suggestion thread...? :T

If you look closely to the Flamecaller's primary gene, you can see it kinda looks like poison/toxic but different. [Maybe even smirch]
How about this for a new gene? I'd like to call it 'Wildfire'

can we have something like a shell? I couldn't find any images of what I mean, but I found this which I think would work great as a gene!

Or maybe a nautilus would be cool!

Whither
It causes markings on the body that make the dragons look emaciated. Minor line art edits could be done to make even more effective. It would not show a skeleton (since that is ghosts job) but it would make the dragon look thin or worn down in some way.

A gaoler tabby gene would be amazing! They’re already so fluffy- it’d be adorable!

Perhaps a primary that made the dragon sparkly? Not like crystal or starmap, like, glitter across the body. Or perhaps cartoonish stars? That would be pretty cute :)
