*These are entirely new Clans, no ties to the original Clans from the books other than beliefs and traditions. This is my idea how entirely different Clans came to be.* [b]Backstory[/b] Four cats, a group of acquaintances, form the idea of bringing together other cats from their area to create Clans in hopes of ending individual bouts over territory, food, and shelter. These bouts keep all cats defensive and increase the tension which leads to further fighting over the smallest of things. These four have had enough and are putting aside their differences to work together for the greater good of all the cats around. Now, their job is to recruit the other cats around their areas to join with them to form the Clans. [b]Map[/b] A rough map made by @Skeeech! It is filled with many different trees, caves, ponds, and groves. Hail looks for cats who are fair and loyal in personality as well as strong and capable in physique. The Clan base is set on a high plateau beside the mountain where they can just look over the trees for a wondrous view of the land. Cats in this clan must be strong climbers to tackle the terrain and climb trees to catch prey as well as go undetected from other cats. Typical prey are squirrels, chipmunks, different birds, mice, and occasionally marmots. Common threats include badgers, coyotes, racoons, foxes, and birds of prey. Leader: Hailstar (Skeeech) Deputy: Open Medicine Cat: Open Warriors: Open Apprentices: Open Queens and Kits: Open Elders: Open [u]RussetClan[/u] Founded by Russet – Open This Clan resides in an area that had previously been clear-cut by twolegs but some parts have been re-stocked with young trees, mostly cedar, fir, and pine. Russet looks for cats who are nimble and light on their feet as well as smart and experienced. Basecamp is set in a small ravine where old logs had fallen, making shelter and reclusiveness easy. The cats in this Clan must be well adapted to the rough clear-cut area and be smart enough to use it to their advantage when enemies arrive. Typical prey are mice, voles, small birds, squirrels, and grouse. Predators and threats in this area are birds of prey, badger, foxes, coyotes, racoons, and weasels. Leader: Russetstar (Open) Deputy: Open Medicine Cat: Open Warriors: Open Apprentices: Open Queens and Kits: Open Elders: Open [u]GaleClan[/u] Founded by Gale – Open GaleClan is set away from the trees and instead in the rolling hills beside that offer open sky, tall grass, boulders, and tunnels. Gale is recruiting cats who are light-hearted and quick-thinkers and also slim and fast. Their base camp is set in an abandoned barn that has old fences and stalls making for easy defense. Cats here need to be strong runners and have fast reflexes to match in order to catch their quick prey and make up for their lack in bulk in a fight. Typical prey are rabbits, prairie dogs, quail, mice, and snakes (Specially trained to dispatch snakes but bites aren’t uncommon). Possible threats include foxes, coyotes, birds of prey, and snakes. Leader: Galestar (Open) Deputy: Open Medicine Cat: Open Warriors: Open Aprentices: Open Queens and Kits: Open Elders: Open [u]PikeClan[/u] Founded by Pike – Open This Clan’s territory is cut off from the others with a small river marking the border and a small stream coming off of the river hugs a small piece of land making their basecamp. This territory boasts beautiful willow and birch trees, ponds, and lush undergrowth. Pike is looking for cats who are determined and good-natured as well as strong cats who are able to swim. Cats here must be comfortable in and around water as well as sleek and stealthy on land. Prey in this territory includes fish, mice, voles, frogs, and water birds. Predators and threats in this area are otters, coyotes, snakes, badgers, foxes, and osprey. Leader: Pikestar (Arctotherium) Deputy: Open Medicine Cat: Badgertail (DragonJade) Warriors: Open Apprentices: Open -Shadowpaw (Jackandsally) Queens and Kits: Open Elders: Open [b]Gatherings and Moonplace[/b] In the middle of the clans is an old abandoned quarry and this is where they will hold gatherings. The leader's spot will be on the top of a boulder pile in the middle of the clearing. *If you don’t know what a quarry is, please look it up!* The Moonplace is going to be a MoonTree found in the back corners of the PikeClan and HailClan territories. This tree is in a large cavern below ground with a small pond where the roots reach into and around. At midnight, the tree’s leaves begin to glow a soft blue/white and at that time the cats can drink some of the water and visit with their ancestors. They will not need the MoonTree while the Clans and beliefs are still forming, so it will be a much later thing. [b]Rules[/b] -No perfect character, they must have flaws whether it be mental or physical. -No over-powered characters, keep it similar to the books -You can only control your character(s), you don’t have a say in what the other characters do -Be respectful and kind, this includes no swearing, you can however use the “bad” words from the series (Example: mouse-brain) -Please follow this thread -Maximum of two characters -It is preferred if you have read the books but you can try it out if you would like -I will choose whether to accept your character or not, I may ask you to change something but don’t take offense to it! I will also determine if you can have a high position. -When posting, please put your character’s name and Clan at the top so everyone knows who is acting

When he was just 5 moons old, a group of rogues invaded his family home, killing his father. His mother was able to escape with three of his siblings but him and his sister Lilac were taken by the rogues. They were trained brutally and forced to run on very little food and sleep. Him and his sister were made into sleek and devastating fighters. This rogue group also lived near a small river which led to Pike and Lilac being such strong swimmers with sleek, silky coats. After being with the rogue group for 14 moons, Lilac was forced to be another rogues mate, but in time she came to care for the brute. Pike was pressured to find a she-cat for himself but could not come to fathom even sharing tongues with any of the females there. One night, a large number of the rogue group left for a raid and Pike saw his chance to escape. He offered Lilac to join him but she refused, explaining she didn't want to leave her mate especially when she may have kits on the way. It was the hardest decision of his life, but Pike said a teary goodbye to his sister and ran as far as his legs would take him. That led him to the forest of birch and willows which would one day be the home of his Clan. Ever since, he lived on his own, only making acquaintances with Hail, Russet, and Gale. [b]Personality:[/b] Pike is a determined, strong-willed cat who can sometimes come off as emotionally detached, but he only seems that way from the rogue training. Behind this act, he is a caring tom who likes to relax and laugh. He likes things done his way and is hard to persuade, usually setting his mind to something without falter. [b]Strengths:[/b] -Physical strength -Fighting -Swimming -Sleek and stealthy -Hunting [b]Weaknesses:[/b] -Running -Climbing -Often too rough when training -Stubborn [b]Other:[/b] Pike wishes to one day have friends and family, hoping the Clan will be his opportunity to achieve those things. He sometimes has nightmares about his past and will lash out in his sleep. He also has made friends with a raccoon named Goose, they sometimes meet to hunt or fish together. He is currently searching for cats around his area to join his Clan and tell all other cats they know.
