Eros was the hatchling everyone whispered about. He dressed and spoke strangely, and he was quieter than his peers. But that wasn’t what was whispered about. The small skydancer carried with him a sense of negativity, and misfortunate incidents seemed to follow him everywhere he went. Dragons fought whenever they were around him too long, and the victims of the accidents were always linked with spending time with him.
When he tried to spend the day with a skydancer named Lara, she was found the next day drowned in a river. He made two friends, brothers Robin and Kestrel, but after the first couple days, the coatls had disappeared with no clues as to where they had gone.
With rumors and stories floating around, Eros shoved up walls around his heart. No one else would suffer from his curse. He snapped at those who approached him, growled at any who tried to talk to him. And finally, he was shipped away to an aer clan far from society. Now, vain and arrogant, he tries to shove away those who come near from fear. But there’s this one skydancer named Aequum he can’t seem to shake away...
